Gold Traveller's Notebook

I've used Stampin'Up's gorgeous Year of Cheer designer series paper to make the cover of a traveller's notebook. These handy little books seem to be all the rage at the moment. The cover is decorated with a gold foil snowflake and a gold embellishment both of which belong to the Year of Cheer suite.

The book contains three signatures which can be removed and replaced with new pages - just cut an A4 sheet in two, fold in half and slip under the elastic.  They are an ideal size for slipping into your handbag.

Origami Christmas Tree Ornament

This is a gorgeous Christmas tree ornament that uses no adhesive. I got the idea from The Paper Pixie, Julia DiMatteo, who has made an easy to follow tutorial. You can find her blog here
I've used the beautiful Year of Cheer designer series paper and gold trim ribbon.

Christmas Cards using Year of Cheer

Another 2 cards made using the Year of Cheer products - designer series paper, washi tape and stamp set. I've made 2 each of these. Along with the card I showed in my previous blog, these 5 cards and their envelopes will be placed into one of Stampin' Up's new acetate boxes.

An Early Christmas Card using Year of Cheer

The Year of Cheer suite from the Holiday Catalogue inspired this early Christmas card. The Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous! I've teamed one of the designs with some thin, gold washi tape, an embossed sentiment and some fine gold thread. My plan is to make a few different card designs and put the cards into one of the wonderful new acetate boxes - also available in the Holiday Catalogue.

Notebooks using Pick-a-Pattern and Delightful Daisy DSPs

I've been interested in the many examples of travellers notebooks on Pinterest lately. These are some examples of laminated notebooks I've made using some of the current Stampin' Up designer series paper as well as some older papers I had in my stash. The cover is laminated and the inside signatures are removable and can be refilled with half sheets of A4 copy paper. They are a great size for your handbag and can be used for notes, keeping receipts, photos - whatever you like!

Delightful Daisy DSP

These two boxes have been made using the Delightful Daisy DSP. The Daisy Punch was used to add detail to the daisy box and some gold embossing added a bit of glamour to the lovely muted colours of the other box.

Birthday Wishes with the Daisy Punch

Another version of an earlier design I cased from Mary Fish - see 30th May 2017. The recipient loves the colour red and a bit of bling so the Daisy Punch and the new Faceted Gems worked a treat!

Sympathy Card with Pretty Pines Thinlits

A card made for a wonderful lady who loved the environment.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Holly Stene

The Crazy Crafters are CASEing (Copying and Selectively Editing) Artisan Design Team member Holly Stene. We are thrilled to have you as our special guest, Holly.

It was hard to choose just one project to CASE but I finally I selected this card from Holly's blog. (see Holly's blog here)

Here's my card. I've used mostly items from the Delightful Daisy Suite from the new 2017-18 Annual Catalogue.  I've also used a couple of returning favourites - the Brick Wall embossing folder and the 'Happy Birthday' from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoyed my project. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate you leaving a comment. Enjoy the next blog and thanks for blog hopping with the Crazy Crafters!

Delightful Daisy Suite

The new 2017-18 catalogue goes live tomorrow - an exciting time for all Stampin' Up users!

I've CASED - copied and selectively edited - a card from Mary Fish (see her blog here). I've used the new Daisy Punch and Faceted Gems for the flowers on the front of the card. The stamps on the inside are from the Daisy Delight stamp set. I've used Daffodil Delight, Dapper Denim and Whisper White cardstock.

Retiring Products

I'm sorry to say I never got around to using the Serene Scenery designer series paper. I received quarter sheets as a gift but they seemed to get missed in my stash. These papers will retire today but the layout could be used for any DSP. Simple but effective.

Get Well Card

This card is based on Freshly Made Sketches 288. (found here ). I used the Brick Wall embossing folder and Crumbcake cardstock on a Chocolate Chip cardstock card base.  Flourish Thinlits cut from Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks make up the greenery popping out of the space in the bricks. The little window is from Inside the Lines designer series paper watercoloured with Stampin'Up's watercolour pencils.

Card and Gift Box

This project was inspired by Nadine Koller (see her blog here). Great for those male friends or family members who ride motorbikes. I have a few of those in my family! I used the One Wild Ride stamp set and Dapper Denim and Daffoldil Delight cardstock.

Handmade Notebook

I wanted to use up some of the lovely papers I had in my stash. This lovely paper was from a previous Stampin' Up catalogue but the gold embellishments on the front cover were made using the Sunshine Wishes framelits. The notebook is handbound using the coptic stitch method.

Sympathy Card

It's always a sad time when you need to make one of these cards. I had some sympathy cards already made but none of them were suitable. I used Night of Navy and Crumbcake cardstock and shapes from the Flourishing Thinlits set. A simple and elegant card, I think.

Blooms & Wishes

These are some cards cased (copied and selectively edited) from Kylie Bertucci (see her bog HERE). I was really pleased with the results.

The one bottom right was sent as part of an international card swap run by Caroline in the UK (see her blog HERE) I used Marina Mist cardstock and the Bloom & Wishes stamp set. The design on the right border is a stamp from the Totally Trees stamp set.

Wedding Card

A simple and elegant card made for my niece's wedding. I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Fancy Frost Speciality designer series paper. To finish off I used Wink of Stella on the front heart and a few pearls.

Handmade Book

This is a handmade book made for my grandson after a family holiday to Manly. I used the By the Shore designer series paper for all the pages and the wavy die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits worked really well on the title page. The book is a great favourite and a wonderful reminder of a terrific family holiday.

I found a YouTube tutorial from Pink & Fun - CLICK HERE  It's not in English but there are English subtitles and measurements are shown on the screen. I found it very easy to follow.

Baby Gift Box & Card

I knitted a little cardigan for a new baby in the family. When I was preparing to gift wrap it I realised it matched perfectly with Stampin' Up's Sweet Sugarplum colour.
I made a box using Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White cardstocks and some of the Succulent Garden designer series paper. Stitched Framelits, Enamel Shapes and silver ribbon finished everything off beautifully.

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to the first of what I hope will be many opportunities to share my creative journey. Setting up a blog has definitely taken me out of my comfort zone. At the very least, it will be a way to record my work and at the very best, it will allow me to share my efforts with others.

So, here we go...
